The Brand

Antonia Zander — Mindful Luxury

Cashmere knitwear by Antonia Zander, woman in a cashmere sweater with camels in a snowy landscape.

True luxury is never loud — it whispers.

It lives in the quiet confidence of timeless style, in the pure touch of natural fibers, and in the special skills of artisans who have mastered their craft.

Each Antonia Zander piece is born from a deep respect for the planet and the human spirit — thoughtfully created in Italy and Germany, where tradition and innovation coexist in harmony.

“Mindful Luxury” is our philosophy: Quality over quantity. Chosen with intent, not made to impress. Designed to last, to be loved, and to evolve with the years.

Because for us, luxury is not only about refinement — it is about spirit. We stand for a slower rhythm in fashion — seasonless collections, modular wardrobes, enduring shapes.

Each piece tells a story of awareness and celebration — of beauty that transcends time.

THE HERITAGE

A Legacy — Knitted by Hand

Antonia Zander was founded in 1983 by Antonia’s mother — a woman with an instinct for beauty, a handful of knitters, and an unshakable belief in quality.

From these humble beginnings emerged a world defined by craftsmanship, authenticity, and quiet strength.

Not only did Antonia inherit her mother’s skills, but her sensibility as well — a deep connection to italian artisans, an appreciation for the finest materials, and a devotion to the human touch behind every piece.

Encouraged by her mother, she forged her own path — constantly shaping the brand with a modern eye while preserving its soul.

Some of the ateliers, mills, and suppliers once entrusted to her mother remain her valued partners to this day, sustaining relationships built on trust and continuity across generations.

What endures is not only the knitwear itself, but the soul within.

The Woman Behind

Antonia Zander — Mindful by Nature

Antonia Zander was raised in the quiet heart of rural Bavaria — surrounded by nature, animals, and the unhurried rhythm of the seasons.

Her deep belief in the bond between humankind and nature informs every aspect of her work, guided by the conviction that true beauty exists only in harmony with the world we belong to.

With her passion for traditional craftsmanship, artisanal skill, and nearly forgotten techniques, each piece is composed like a painting — refined in form, grounded in spirit, luxurious in its quiet restraint.

Beyond the studio, she finds peace in the stillness of the fields with her horse and dog — a quiet form of meditation that restores balance in the still fast-paced world of fashion.

„Luxury is not defined by price, but by responsibility — by a deliberate, selective choice of every material and every production. True luxury lives in uncompromising quality and timeless longevity.“ Antonia Zander

Antonia Zander cashmere yarn by Cariaggi – fine fibers from Italy, the foundation of our knitwear.

The Material

Cariaggi — The Purity of Touch

From the outset, we have collaborated with Cariaggi, Italy’s foremost spinner of fine cashmere and noble fibres.

This enduring partnership is founded on shared values: excellence, transparency and respect for nature‘s rarest resources.

Founded in 1958 in the heart of Italy’s Marche region, Cariaggi is renowned for its mastery of cashmere, merino, and silk blends — transforming raw fibers into threads of exceptional lightness and strength.

Through innovation and tradition, Cariaggi continues to set the benchmark for sustainable luxury — combining advanced technology with an almost poetic dedication to tactile senses.

For us, every yarn tells a story — of origin, of artistry, of trust.

Made In Italy — The Luxury of Authenticity

True Made in Italy lives in our small, family-run workshops where craftsmanship is still inherited art. In these second- and third-generation ateliers located in Parma & Perugia, knitting is more than technique — it is emotion.

Here, the finest cashmere is shaped by tradition, stitch by stitch, into pieces carrying the quiet perfection only time and skill can create.

No mass production, no shortcuts. Just artisans who have spent a lifetime refining their craft, and families who safeguard the beauty of Italian craftsmanship.

This is Italy at its purest.

Hand-knitted cashmere designs by Antonia Zander – crafted in Poland, shaped by traditional craftsmanship and female artisanship.

The Handknit — Crafted with Purpose

We partner with a knit atelier in Poland — a place where craftsmanship, creativity, and purpose converge.

Here, hand-knitting not only preserves tradition but also supports a community of elderly women, empowering them to increase their income and share their artistry.

This collaboration embodies meaningful support — nurturing local talent, sustaining artisanal knowledge, while celebrating craftsmanship through inspired design.

As a women-founded and women-led company, we deeply believe in the transformative power of the feminine — creativity as empathy, craftsmanship as care, beauty as strength.

The Wild Horses —Where Luxury meets Purpose

The reintroduction of the takhi — the last wild horse on earth — is a story of hope and perseverance.

Once extinct in the wild, these remarkable horses have found a home again in the Great Gobi — a Strictly Protected Area in southwestern Mongolia, where around 300 now roam freely thanks to the tireless work of the protected area management the International Takhi Group (ITG). For over 25 years, ITG has supported this conservation project — one of the world’s most successful wildlife reintroduction programs.

In the same region, some 280 herding families share the land with the takhi and depend on the harsh steppe for survival. Overgrazing by goats used for cashmere production threatens this fragile ecosystem.

The ITG Cashmere Project seeks to change this: by empowering herders, improving the quality and traceability of their wool, and ensuring a sustainable coexistence between wildlife, livestock, and people.

This shared vision — of responsibility, beauty, and balance — forms the foundation of the collaboration with Antonia Zander. So we tansform sustainably sourced Mongolian cashmere into timelesspieces that embody our belief that true luxury lies in respect — for nature, for tradition, and for life itself.

Together, Antonia Zander and the ITG celebrate a new chapter: where mindful design supports wild nature — and where fashion gives back to the earth that inspires it.

The Triangolo Camoscio

Our Icon of luxury – where sustainability meets a bohemian state of mind.

Geometry of Colour — The Shape of a Signature

The Triangolo is more than a scarf — it is the visual heartbeat of Antonia Zander. For over twenty years, this signature piece has been reinterpreted, copied, and admired — often without others knowing they were imitating a concept born entirely from resourcefulness.

The story began quite simple: at the end of each season, small amounts of yarn remained — not enough for a full sweater, yet far too precious to discard.

Antonia had the idea to combine these leftover yarns into one piece — a multicoloured triangular scarf made from a base knit, border, seam, and the finest goat-leather fringes, each handstitched and endless combinations in colour.

What started as a creative solution to avoid waste became an icon of the brand: a “one-of-a-kind” tribute to artisanal knitwear expertise and sustainability — true no waste luxury!

Crafted by hand. Guided by intuition. Designed to be lived in.
